Welcome!
It all started when we were invited to my cousin’s wedding in Portland, OR. I said to my mother (or she said to me), “Why don’t we do a cross country trip?!”
And thus our brilliant plan was born. There a lot of people who cannot believe/understand that a mother and daughter traveling alone together can have a magnificent time. TO all the naysayers, I say, “Pshaw!” And, “Bah, humbug!” And, finally, “Booyah!”
We began by plotting out a route that covered places we’d always wanted to see. Before we knew it, we were up to 19 stops, 5,700 miles and 23 days! I decided to blog about it. Of course, there’s no way all the photographs I’ve taken are going to make it onto this blog. So I’ll try embedding slide-shows. This is for all you procrastinators/time wasters/stalkers and any one else who’s interested (or bored). LEt the magic begin!
Here’s our route (you can zoom in):
